I want Persian text to have a different font, how can I achieve this?
I first downloaded the required ttf fonts, then I added them to ~/.fonts directory and then I cached them

But the Persian text actually doesn't use the Persian font

Add them to ~/.local/share/fonts instead of ~/.fon...

It's interesting because I have already done this but it didn't work anywhere But as I added it to the local directory it is working now in Telegram but not in the system itself and also in other applications like Chrome

Usually fonts are expectes to provide the shapes of all characters. The onlymethod i can think of is extracting the shapes of font a and b to get an customised font C.

Afaik, font files have a limit to how many glyphs they can contain
