What is the need of returning this I can't see

it benifit my program
We can also make a function which can do same
Without returning object reference
And where object reference is used ?
It is only used to set values
Why returning this??

By the way, you don't have to return this, that's just one fancy way of writing code. It's not very popular (I mean method chaining)
