Hi ! My questions are about this image, i got it

from instagram page by inspecting HTML. In my practice i use different png file for each icon. But this image have all icons in single png file. Each icon are being used independently on their web, like they were never be a part of a single file.

Q1. Are they splitting each icon at runtime from file? If Yes then how they are finding the position of required icon OR is there any other way to use this file ?
Q2. Is there any name for such icon combining process?
Q3. Am i missing any thing ?
