1. I thought second one is better because that's the

2. There is no subject about believe. I just think type casting take more processing than directly using variable. Is it true?

#2: type casting is not taking more processing time than an assignment. #3: rather than "better in efficiency" , try to use X has a (higher | lower) efficiency than Y , where *xy may be valid comparisson expresions.
