Hey guys , wish you a good time this is

my nginx config file , and my app is running on port 8080 , i tested my app with curl and it returns the desired html page , but when i send the request through port 80 nginx keeps returning a 500 error , could you plz tell me what have i done wrong ?

thanks , i kinda don't have any experience about sys-admin , could you explain more about how i can do that or point me to an article so i could read ? i had done the same configuration on my laptop earlier and it was working , but now it's gone mad on server could it be because i installed nginx directly from linux repo's and didn't add their own repo(as said in their cookbook) ?

This Guide is working since I got it 3 years ago and it getting regulary updates too :D Which is nice.

afaik you need to setup nginx as reverse proxy to access several services behind a nginx server. I had the similar issue in the past, till i recognized that my setup wouldn't work that way without to having a reverse proxy running.
