servers and i found something called bbr, bbr+ that increase speed of the network and reduce packets lost .
its made me curious that why something like this should not be on the default on distros and kernels !?
I'm pretty sure the answer to this question is the same as the one related to custom Android kernels: if [karnel] increases battery autonomy, then why is it not the default for [smartphone]? if [karnel] increases the OS speed, then why is it not the default for [smartphone]? The answer is that they all come at a cost. There's no such a thing as adoption of anything without downsides. As of the downsides of said thingamabob you mention, I wouldn't know exactly what they would be, but there surely are.
