I know it's not pretty common but for my cases the 100% of my printers always worked fine (IBM, HP, Samsung, Lexmark)
Some update broke my HP printer for remote printing, I spent like 2 hours on it and just gave up

I'll break support for my own Epson scanner for Arch as the manufacturer has a weird support for Linux
I didn't even bother for my label printer, I just forward it to a Windows VM
I had this Brother printer some time ago. Their drivers were so outdated that it would not work on newer versions of Debian.
