Hey, on an Asus Vivobook I have, the ELAN touchpad

is detected both as a Touchpad and a Mouse with same device ID on the system, is this normal?

I have a problem where the touchpad outta the blue stops working and starts working if I try to glide my finger across it faster than normal

I have actually not checked it since I installed Linux, lemme give a quick check

Updated it, the issue seems to be resolved however the device is still detected as a touchpad and a mouse but I guess it's fine
