Most likely your router has an IP served from your ISP, which most likely blocks "bad sites" meant for torrenting or whatever your state doesn't like This, if your uncle didn't set a specific primary and secondary DNS

use router DNS for ssh user@hostname or set a static IP on the machine you are SSHing into, you don't need to touch the router config for either of these things.
