Debian is total piece of garbage Doesn't have necessary tools at live image Doesn't know how to deal with nonfree firmwares by default Installation from live desktop(easy) is total fucked up and doesn't show some advance settings Why the hell would I want grub when lilo exists and why it's just available at graphical installation(On boot) So big no Maybe try user kde neon later I'm sure I'm not gonna like it neither

Because lilo is outdated, its latest release was four years ago. Ik not saying that therefore you should not use it but it's generally a good idea to install grub by default and let advanced users replace it with something they like down the road.

Like anyone really cares about package sizes, they're only important when containizing apps. For which I wouldnt use Debian.
