After 6 years of experience with Linux I still found LPIC-1 very hard, and while I passed the first part, I failed the second one (by a very small margin and despite having had 100% in some of its topics, which made it pretty infuriating) so I'll have to go again next year. Don't take the exams just for learning, totally not worth it. Rather take them when you're already very confident in your ability to administrate Linux systems
