fields where Debian excels over OpenSUSE, but when I chose OpenSUSE Tumbleweed as my next OS (not yet installed tho), I also considered the fact that it's rolling release, which is much more practical to update.

Debian Testing is a rolling version since long time ago
Point release if you want a stable system. Red Hat never produce rolling release because majority of Red Hat customer want a stable system
