running containers on it, and so far its just nextcloud. I'm struggling with hostname and calling that server on a local network. I don't know if this is a DNS setting I have to set in the server. What do I do? I want to be able to call each service by its pretty URL name like webserver.homelab.local instead of 192.168.100.121:8180 and then do the same for my nextcloud as nextcloud.homelab.local
do you use a reverse proxy to set up subdomains?
Either make a DNS server to map static IP's (centralize those in a DHCP server) to domains, or use something like Bonjour to do it dynamically.. never had any luck with Bonjour myself though
