Uhh I was setting stuff on LFS and for some

reason hostname does not work. I created /etc/hostname with the name of the machine but when I run hostname or check the shell prompt, it shows (none). Anyone might have some idea of why it is not working?

I tried using sysctl and it set it correctly, idk why /etc/hostname isn't working

The only other place I can think of that hostname can be set is in the kernel.. what's your current hostname and what's the one set by your kernel?
