I need guidance installing Ubuntu. This is my first experience

with a SSD + HDD. I'm thinking of giving 16GB swap in my ssd and give 600 GB root partition in my HDD. Will this work? And secondly, should I install grub in my ssd or HDD?

create a 500 gb partition for /home and a 100 gb partition for /

Swap on SSD is a really bad idea. It generates a lot of I/O which is bad for solid state drives.
