It's completely a lego You match the peaces not in old fashioned way. In very modern modular way. You can build what you need. Comparing to arch: we have to set and configure much files and settings in different places. Now here it gives you an explicit example.scm and you set all you want there without leaving it. Configure everything in a single file and your only job is to run that and type reboot after it. It's my installation experience and I tell you more after some days working with it
