Well have you ever tried to report a bug? Usually you

have to backtrace the error and send it to developer.
I think you mentioned its a file so no use...
I asked several questions:
1- What is filesystem? is it ntfs,fat or its external journaling.
2- the content within initrc files of shell if it includes other files like sourcing them you have to look at them too for any alias of ls.
