First make sure your system is updated: sudo apt update sudo apt full-upgrade sudo snap refresh sudo reboot Although I'm a strong advocate for following official docs, for the reason Sharuzzaman pointed out, I suggest you install it as described in section "Install the official Viber deb package" of the following article: https://linuxconfig.org/how-to-install-viber-on-ubuntu-20-04-focal-fossa-linux
