How is it possible to write but not read that much 😂 Unnecessarily writings?
I don't know. I checked last month nd it was 94% health. I do not download anything rather than pdf, apps from flatpak
Possibly some rolling logs and things like that
is temparature kills ssd life?
Kinda but I'm pretty sure that your ssd won't get that hot
around 65 degree celcius
any suggestion how can I save my ssd? I'm using ubuntu budgie
You are dual booting windows? What file system are you using on linux? What DE?
no I have 2 ssd, 1 for linux, 1 for windows. the linux ssd is at trouble as I have given screenshot
the default file system of ubuntu. de is ubuntu de
But wait How this app could measure the health?
That's 33gb a day, probably your browser does a lot of it.
Did you enabled fstrim?
I did nothing manually
I just surf the internet and watch video in udemy and youtube.
Yeah so it's probably cache
Check that thing first Then check file indexing Also try to decrese journal size JetBrains products are very files heavy ( android studio , gradle etc ) if you have any
I clear cache after 3-4 days by stacer and it barely crosses 2 gb per 3 day
yeah I use clion ide. but not regularly
Maybe that's the issue??
Graph your I/O per process then and see what's doing the writes
If you're running out of space every 3-4 days then it may be a good idea to grab a bigger drive
I always have 65+ gb left. never crosses that limit
Then I wouldn't be removing cache
:0
you have to be downloading stuff
Check with FileLight
