Arch, because it's fast and nice
Kali, because when you say you use it, everyone lose their mind
must be hell of a powerful os
Debian
for daily driver?
More than half your list is just derivatives
yeah it is but for example Ubuntu isn't Debian (Ubuntu is much heavier and ways more buggy) and Manjaro isn't Arch (Arch needs much more knowledge to use against Manjaro) and ...
Yes. Debian Testing. Some people don't like the word "Testing", but they forget that Ubuntu use "Sid" as base
What knowledge do you require on Arch that you don't need to know on Manjaro?
but your choice would be helpful for me to chose one of them
You should not choose derivatives, you're inheriting issues from multiple teams when you do
Manjaro has some default stuff which you have no need to think about them like Manjaro with Gnome has Gnome installed and it has a GUI to install it
Arch comes with an installer too.
Btw which one do you prefer for yourself?
For now Arch 2 Kali 1 Debian 2
kali 0 dont fall for the memes
That one was for my other friend which told me to use kali😅
Debian is so ancient people suggest a beta branch just to make it somewhat usable as a desktop OS. I run Arch or Arch ARM on all my devices/servers personally.
Ubuntu. Because for me it’s simpler to use, I find it easier for me and good support as well.
read the official doc of kali linux, they say its not for normal user
It is created for InHuman, X-Men and Eternals 😄
Agreed I have tried to install it on vm to test it and even the installer was so ... well not looking as good as Ubuntu and fedora
For now Arch 3 Debian 2 Ubuntu 1
Why the installer matter? I just click OK and everything works for Debian
Is it still text based?
I believe so
You should create a poll instead
No to manjaro Ubuntu and kali unless u need it as ur profession
Yes but I can't share poll here
So for me (who hasn't so much knowledge about Linux) Fedora is it No?
Use for 2-3 days, then install arch
First distro or regular PC user? Ubuntu Somewhat tech-savvy user that needs a reliable and stable OS? Fedora Tech-savvy that needs a full-fledged distro running smoothly on a low-end PC? Arch Do you believe life is about suffering? Any distro with one level or derivativeness or more [1] [1] Ubuntu is the only exception because its mainstream-ness helps beginners not to feel overwhelmed at first by providing decent GUIs and a great deal of tutorials online.
please don't recommend ubuntu to newcomers
'decent GUIs' when some days ago a guy was saying here ubuntu crashed when trying to open the recycle bin xD
