Hi all, I'm running Kali on vmware. I'm not able

to change the resolution. even if I change it from the settings gui it will automatically change again when I go in full screen mode (it automatically sets the resolution to the maximum resolution of my screen). any ideas?

I think this is a toxic behavior the community absolutely does not need. do you know the fix to my problem? if yes so tell me (if you want), if not I think you should talk to the questioner before giving him bad answers like that. I'm actually a red team leader for a company and yes, I have no shame in asking the community for something cause, come on, it's a community!
