Ok so PA is inactive and PW-Pulse is active and

Question

Ok so PA is inactive and PW-Pulse is active and

running. Still the question I think remains is it actually the active sound controller or might it be just running in the back doing nothing? But I think if PW is standalone Soundcontroller PAVUControl wouldn't work anymore, right? So I guess that would mean when it's not PA controlling the sound it has to be PW-Pulse, right?
