people still want to use the old one, right? Which is not the way Fedora works.

You can do whatever you prefer but the distribution only supports what the maintainer has released, at the latest available version in the repositories

No, that is unsupported even if you do dig out newer/older versions than your current system state from the Archive or a mirror that still carries it. https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/System_maintenance#Partial_upgrades_are_unsupported
