referring to the .d files, or to the first two lines in those files (allow-hotplug, iface)? If the latter, aren't those supposed to be there? Please correct me if I'm wrong, but so far I understand the former to relate to physical connection/disconnection, while the latter sets the interface to be manipulated elsewhere (i.e. bridges here). I'd be willing to remove those entries, but wouldn't that introduce unnecessary ambiguity?
The ethX devices don't get ip addresses. The bridge's ip address is the one the device is reachable.
