I have a resource issue as my laptop is Lenovo

IdeaPad 5 which has 11th gen i5 1135g7, 4+4 (soldered) RAM and 512 gb ssd. I run out of RAM and it causes issues in development. React projects keep freezing from time to time
Any suggestions for better workflow ( for React webapp development ) as the application is pretty big.

I concurrently use.
Chrome with at lease 5-7 tabs
Vscode with extensions
Spotify
Teams classic

Is there anything to do for this issue, like using other desktop environment with mininal application for work only ?

Both can't be soldered. At least I haven't seen it done that way.

VScode is problematic nowadays, it just eats every resource in its way

Was it ever not based on electron?

Sure but the latest updates are even worse, now you can’t even open a standalone file without freezing the whole computer

Not enough RAM. If there is one slot that is available, put as much RAM as possible, eg. 16GB. If both are soldered, you are toast. Buy a new laptop and make sure it does not have soldered RAM to avoid this issue in the future

as I know vscode have extentions for react/web development, without jumping from editor to browser and change DE/WM and specially distro and in your laptop only 4gb ram is soldered another 4 its plank

try using neovim with lua config. You could try a neovim distro , example https://github.com/NvChad/NvChad and check if your system freezes again, cuz the lsps used in nvim are the same ones from vscode btw
