it was from my dad, and i say okey at that time as the salesman on phone said ram can be upgraded, but when i searched with the laptop model number found that both are likely to be soldered 😭

Sales people are not technical and their job is to sell. I've heard sales people say insane things to make a sale. Some of these things include: - DDR4 is a gimmick and DDR3 will be fine - the dual band router will transfer data twice as fast because it creates two connections - cpu generation doesn't matter, you need an i7 for gaming - if you're getting a 4K monitor you might as well get a RTX 3080 as the others struggle with that resolution
