Hello everyone, I would like to start a new learning

project about making a very basic simple tui display manager (maybe c/rust). I don't know where to start because I can't find a lot of resources online, any help?

yes, I could use ncurses (or notcurses) for c and the same for rust. However I don't know where to find infos about how to write the display manager, how does the authentication work, how does the desktop environment work or how to set the right env vars
