Confirm, you are not trying to install that package into flatpak sandbox, was suspicious of the /app path
Ok, I noticed, the /app path is not a usual Linux path and like @stop5 said, this might indicate you are doing this in flatpaks sandbox, you need to spawn a new shell outside the sand box or use an external terminal
I was noticing the .var/app path.
/app/bin should not be in your $PATH
Good point, I'll consider that when I'm at home again. Not sure what I used exactly. I tried with snap, but it failed. I think it was rpm package, but I'm not sure.
