I talk to our virtualization admin asking to add extra

volumes so I can initiate a ceph storage shared to our kubernetes nodes, he said that ceph will make extra pressure with our raids. Who forced you to use Raid5?

Ceph is just bad for raid IMO

That said, every clustering file system with redundancy is bad for raid (gcfs2, lvm-ha, etc.) The major problem arises from parity raids, where raid controller becomes a bottleneck
