using TLP. I got a template configuration for an Acer laptop recommended on arch wiki whose model is very similar to mine (mine is a515-51g): http://ix.io/3DMv
What I noticed right after that was that, when running off the charger, on the battery, the CPU usage is often times near 100%, so the CPU usage gets higher when running on the battery which reduces the performance considerably to a level that it gets difficult to even watch videos on YouTube. I changed the setting CPU_MAX_PERF_ON_BAT from 25 to 100 and the problem seems to have gone away. Can someone explain me why was this happening? Wasn't it supposed to have lesser CPU usage when running on the battery? Thanks!
If you have 4 apples, but can only eat 25% of your apples, what percentage of your eatable apples do you eat by eating 1 apple?
This doesn't make much sense for me. Does the setting disables cores or reduces clock? Because what happened was that the reported CPU usage actually got higher when on battery...
lol
nothing, just found it funny
Is it not true? :D
this example is just mind blowing idk exactly why
Reported CPU usage in GHz or in percents? It lowers the clock speed most of the time, or forces idle time on the CPU
Hey I do what I can with the amount of tiredness I get
