Disable WPS on your AP, it is wildly insecure.
yeah. the problem is, I accidentally reset it and don't know the password. there is probably a sticker on back but it's glued to a wall :/ wps is available so I thought of connecting with it then changing password with web admin
Read the manual for the AP, it will tell you the default password and IP/subnet you need to connect to it via ethernet.
It's probably admin/admin and 192.168.1.1 with DHCP enabled though. If it's old/bad the default won't have DHCP and you'll have to dig out the manual though. Connect cable and see for yourself
Back when I was working as a finishing carpenter, I used to connect to my customers wifi via WPS all the time. ^^

Wall-mount the thing next time instead of gluing it to the wall..
