Arduino possible ,but, why are you doing that? Arduino is cheap.
For the sake of knowledge maybe... We programmed a processor on an fpga during my ee studies. That's useless, but I learned a lot
FPGA designing is common
Why is it useless please? I intend to give it a try, and try to design a processor using FPGA.
The useless thing about it was that it was a 4-Bit processor that could do addition, subtraction, multiplication and division but that is not useful at all for anything in the real world. If you design a very good processor on an fpga wit the intention to do an ASIC it is a different story
Thank you for the answer, Then I am head try do something good.
Nah Arduino is expensive in my country
it'd be more costly if you try to build it from scratch
Buy a chinese arduino then. DIY can't be cheaper than those.
A FPGA is suitable for acceleration applications
Arduino, and I guess it's cheap as you can buy it from aliexpress for 5 dollar at least
