Every now and then I receive unsolicited email offers from

Chinese salespeople in electronics, to addresses that have been published such as one from Freenode, another one from our website's GDPR contact email (unsolicited spam to a GDPR contact address, go figure), etc. What's weird is that I never receive any other kinds of spam on my domain, just salespeople reaching out for business proposals that I'm really not interested in. I do not consider myself a proper electronics engineer yet - I barely know component theory 😅

Thing is, I wonder whether this is a common thing in electronics? It's just so weird, and hard to wrap my head around.
