Look, man. Usually, if someone finds your question innapropiate, dumb, or simply foolish, they will ignore it. Nonetheless, some people might end up responding in wrong manners. In order to avoid irritating people online which do not know you, @skippy and @forGGe are simply suggesting you research a little on your problem in order to give future readers context on the actual problem you are facing. Overall in life, it is more possible for people to be willing to help you if you have shown interest in the topic (by googling in this case first) than if they see you're just asking while sitting in the couch drinking Fanta, if you know what I mean. In a nutshell, it's not wrong of you to have asked. It's just that some people get bothered when they get asked questions that could be answered with a simple google query.
