Half-assing projects such as systemd absolutely ruins the state of Linux everywhere; on debian they never really wanted to get rid of sysv so it still lives there, they set some dangerous examples that arguably don't apply to anyone else such as not using HTTPS for their mirrors by default so proxies can access them, despite being able to rank mirrors etc so you can have a secure connection to the mirror that's still fast.
