why do you think that virtually every distro has moved to it?
I know you're not the one who was complaining about it and not able to actually prove points, but why not test with your init on any other distro that uses it? It's an init, it doesn't care about what's above it even though it's purpose is to manage it
OK, let me explain how I got to this point... - found a video of Luke Smith complaining about systemd (back when he was using void linux, I know he changed his mind) - found a list of reasons to hate systemd on suckless.org - heard that systemd is bloated and is trying to manage everything - most well-known distros are using systemd and I want to be part of the 1% elite that uses software nobody's heard of
