Based on my personal experience, it's recommended to stick with intel based machine to install Linux (any distro) I've had Intel - amd, intel - nvidia, amd & , intel only machine. The most compatible is with intel and intel - nvidia one. Intel - amd is possible but you must turn off the amd card.
