I am new to css grid layout. I have found

some resources on the web that explains how to apply it on the real website but they don't explain the way the should. My question is, can you make an entire website responsive with only css grid or you just use it in some sections of the website and combine with flexbox and probably some framework like Bootstrap?

Yes it's meant to completely replace everything else but it's upto the programmer at the end of the day
