I'M using visual studio for html/css and when I want

to use the css file I use the <link> and sometimes I use <style>. but sometimes I need both of them to work and change the webpage and they don't. it's like on one file the <link> works the other file the <style>. can you suggest anything that could solve my problem?

Both work... One is probably overwriting the other
