Guys, This is the current logo. And I've been asked

to redesign it.

it's for League of Miners....a minecraft server. inspired by league (league = league of Legends).

And the worst part about this whole endeavor is probably the fact that the owner doesnt know what he wants.

He just said "make it better" and when i asked him if there were certain elements he wanted me to preserve...or new ones to add..he said "Idk".

so now im sitting here unsure how to make it different. because the previous one was more box like. and this is curvy. and idk how mine would look different ...... im just trying to come up with a way for it to not resemble the previous logos and look good.

any suggestions?

Here is a thought... This looks like it sketched by hand and that makes it look like the so called "crap", so why don't u import it to illustrator and try to recreate it with better vectors and long shadows that are common now a days.. It will be like u using a scanned image and then making a vector out of it. Then u can finish the coloring and presentation on Photoshop. I think when the client said he has no ideas... He gave u full creative freedom which is nice as a designer... Experiment on different ideas... U can make a marvel movie logo touch to it.... Since it has a weird weapon like an axe and a big initial letter with circles around it with a 3D look... That is typical marvel. And I think ur client will like it because he can relate the logo to what is out there.
