emacs for remote server administration? No GUI file managers, no double click to edit file in local notepad, no drag and drops at all? And you have no problem in using Linux as a desktop OS as a client?
Also many gui applications exist to do these things I think
You use whatever editor you want/is available. Also terminal may be faster.
No there is not. Give some examples? I think using Linux for desktop is not a good decision when someone should manage too many servers. I'm curios to know if anyone here does it?
Why you think there arent?
I think most linux sys admins use the terminal. And stop making absolute claims
Also, the specific way that you're used to do something may be different from others' way of doing the same thing
I am still testing different apps. I didn't find anything to double click on a remote file to opening it in local editor, editing it, saving, so it updates the remote file automatically, Drag and drops, or other options which winSCP has.
Dolphin has this feature i think
for some things To browse web pages, read mail, use chat or messaging they use GUI Don't call sysadmins as primitives
I didn't claim anything actually because I'm still unsure about my decisions and choices about using linux for development
Which message?
