a 24VDC motor on 12VDC battery, we noticed when the battery is low our board which is 5VDC freezes and stops working till it is reset again, this happens when the motor is on full load and as said before the battery is at low voltage level (below 11.5V).
Is this an expected behaviour can this be solved using a large capacitor on the board?
Hey! Running a 24VDC motor on a 12VDC battery can cause issues, especially when the battery is low. The voltage drop might be affecting your board's stability. Adding a large capacitor can help smooth out voltage fluctuations and potentially prevent the board from freezing. However, it's crucial to choose the right capacitor size and type. Consider consulting an electronics expert to ensure it's an effective solution for your specific setup. Also, addressing the root cause, like using a proper power supply or voltage regulator for your board, could be a more comprehensive solution. Let me know if you need more details!
