So, when we are talking about querying Thanos/Cortex for a

high load of historical data, even with downsampling, we are talking about getting data from S3 buckets which can be quite slow and cumbersome.
Right?
So why people still resist using m3db as prometheus storage?

Hey Viking, come to RSA and you will be surprised to see how many companies are on the cloud. All Telco and banks are on Aws or azure.

I work for telco and banking. It might be many are on the cloud, as many of my customers are, but as I was saying I'm surprised by the number that aren't there, due to data sovereign regulation.
