Apart from process isolation and “packaging”, what do you think can work as a more of a “bare bone” orchestrator (comparing it to k8s).
Something like leveraging systemd to form some sort of cluster and placing a controller to sync all the service files with auto restart?
Obviously there’s a LOT more to it in terms of scaling. But just thinking out aloud.
k8s is not the only orchestrator
Yes, again there is no method to my message. It’s just thoughts put together. I *think* no mad works with non OCI images (like direct binaries etc). What else is there
it works with qemu vm's, firecracker, raw binaries, java stuff, all sorts of containers on linux, freebsd jails and, if you are into that, omnios zones.
Can you run firecracker on normal machines ?
