Here'S something controlversial. Everyone should work off master and commit

often lol. It sounds like anathema, because Github ppularized their pull reuqest workflow, but According to the last 3-4 State of Devops Reports. Teams that just work off master are waay faster and end up with less bugs and rework.

Why? it forces you to make small commits, and commit often. If the someone breaks teh build, no one can add new code until it gets fixed. We have data on this, yet github flow persists for some reason

i agree - i've actuallly tried a few different branching models at this point but committing directly to master seems to work best.
