When was the withdraw fee for btc updated to 0.0025?

It used to be just 0.0005. I didn't see any announcements

Sneaky... I guess it was coupled with the earn discontinuation, they were prob anticipating those leaving the system

Garanteed it's not. Earn was going to be terminated, was already comunicated 2 months ago. As for the fees, they are coupled with the transactions costs of the respective blockchains, in the case BTC. And BTC has been having record costs in transaction fees lately, in case you missed, BTC fees are 63% more expensive in the last 24h, the second greatest value in it's history. It has nothing to do with Cake. Unfortunatelly, transactions costs are not controled by Cake.

Yes I knew about fees. But didn't hear any announcements from cake the fees were being reviewed. Of course cake should increase to cover costs, but they should've put the announcement in discord or telegram

I'll enquire internally if this was forgoten, indeed, everytime Cake needs to increase fees, as well as reduce them always makes a communication. Thanks for the feedback! Honestly and seeing such a sharp increase in fees on the BTC network, I guess that the increase needed to be done on the clock and the announcement lagged.
